PhD in Material Science (Physics) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Instituto de Óptica – Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas).
I am an expert on light-matter interactions at nanoscale with a strong background in functional materials. My work has been focused on how to incorporate novel functionalities to nanophotonic devices through designed optical properties of materials, including incorporation of Q-emitter complexes, phase change materials or metal-like molecular materials
Here, at the University of Vigo I will developing novel nanolamps doped by donor-acceptor pairs. These nanolamps will open wavelength windows through biological tissue in order to control cellular activity at the nanoscale.
